Elena Morettini

Elena Morettini is a Terras attendee and the Chief Solutions Officer at Globant, where she leads the company's sustainable technology and climate solutions strategy. A geoscientist by training, Elena brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of energy, sustainability, AI, and industrial transformation.

Before Globant, Elena co-founded the strategic consultancy Because Energy Matters and served as Vice-Chair for the EU Horizon 2020 Energy and Environmental Programs and Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships. She has also served as B20 Officer for Energy, Resource Efficiency, and Sustainability, and co-founded the first Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Oil and Gas industry in the LATAM region.

Elena is recognized as a leading voice in green technology, sustainable innovation, and AI-driven climate solutions. She was selected among the top Net Zero strategy speakers in 2023 and 2024 and named among the most-read authors of 2024. Her work spans the European Green Deal, CBAM strategy, the US Inflation Reduction Act, Just Transition mechanisms, and physical climate risk management.

She holds a PhD in Geochemistry and is a dedicated advocate for women in STEM and diversity in the energy sector.
