Terras is a global network of senior leaders driving the future of sustainability. Founded in 2024, Terras connects leaders across business, finance, policy, and philanthropy through intimate gatherings and invite-only membership. Every Terras event is capped at around 80 participants, held under Chatham House Rules, with no slides, no name tags, and no recordings.
Terras stands for two worlds: the world we live in today and the world we want to live in tomorrow. Rooted in the Latin word for "earth," it reflects both our grounding in reality and our commitment to meaningful transformation.
Chief Sustainability Officers, founders, investors, policymakers, and senior leaders from organisations like Estée Lauder, Nokia, Starbucks, Rivian, Kering, JP Morgan, and Zurich Insurance, alongside state ministers and members of leading policy institutions. Terras evaluates every participant based on strategic influence, decision-making responsibility, and ability to enrich peer exchange. Titles matter less than the substance of the work.
Terras is not suited for individuals seeking sales opportunities, early-career professionals without a strategic remit, or those whose work is not directly related to sustainability or climate.
Terras was founded by Marvin Rottenberg, driven by a belief that real change happens through genuine human connection. Terras is guided by an Advisory Board of senior leaders from organisations including Estée Lauder, Russell Reynolds Associates, WilmerHale, Steve Madden, and the Watch and Jewellery Initiative 2030.
