Michael Kobori

Michael Kobori is the former Chief Sustainability Officer at Starbucks and a Terras Advisory Board member.
He has joined Terras Tuscany and Terras New York, and is a regular contributor to Terras member calls.

With more than two decades in corporate sustainability, Michael has held senior leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co. as Vice President of Sustainability, and at BSR as Vice President. He has served as a board director of Bunge Global SA and held various roles at The Asia Foundation, where he is now a Trustee. He currently advises NationSwell and Gaeastar, a circular economy start-up.

Michael is a respected speaker at UN forums, the Aspen Institute, and industry conferences worldwide. He has taught sustainability at Haas Business School, University of California Berkeley, and holds a Master's in Public Policy from UC Berkeley and studied sustainable finance at Oxford University.
