
Robert H. Edwards Jr. is the Managing Director at Hamilton Clark Sustainable Capital, a Terras Tuscany and Terras New York attendee, and a member of the Terras Advisory Board.
With over 30 years of leadership and advisory experience across the private and public sectors, Rob has facilitated collaboration between government and industry on national and global transactions valued at over $18 billion.
Rob's career spans pivotal organisations including JPMorgan Chase, Tesla, and Edison Mission Energy, alongside senior roles in the U.S. Department of Energy, the White House, and the Department of Treasury.
Appointed by President Obama as Deputy General Counsel for Energy Policy at the Department of Energy, he led negotiations for landmark government loans including the $5.9 billion ATVM loan to Ford and the $465 million loan to Tesla, both critical to the companies' growth and the broader clean energy transition.
He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Clean Energy Center and Chairman of the Investment Oversight Committee for the Clean Technology Founders Fund.
Rob also serves on the Board of Advisors of H/L Ventures, a venture capital firm in New York City, and has advised leading energy transition companies including Eos Energy, Brimstone, and UBQ Materials.
Rob holds a joint JD/MBA from Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB from Harvard College, magna cum laude in Economics.
He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Member of the Bretton Woods Committee.
