
Robert H. Edwards Jr. is the Managing Director at Hamilton Clark Sustainable Capital and a Terras Advisory Board member.

With over 30 years across the private and public sectors, Rob has facilitated collaboration between government and industry on transactions valued at over $18 billion. Appointed by President Obama as Deputy General Counsel for Energy Policy at the Department of Energy, he led negotiations on landmark government loans, including the $5.9 billion ATVM loan to Ford and the $465 million loan to Tesla, both critical to the clean energy transition. His career spans senior roles at JPMorgan Chase, Tesla, and Edison Mission Energy, as well as the White House and the Department of the Treasury.
Rob currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at the Maryland Clean Energy Center and Chairman of the Investment Oversight Committee for the Clean Technology Founders Fund. He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds a joint JD/MBA from Stanford and an AB from Harvard.
