
Sade Fritschi is a Terras member and Terras New York and Terras COP attendee. She is a National Assembly Member in Ecuador, First Member of the Legislative Administration Council (CAL), and former Minister of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, a role she was appointed to at the age of 26, making her the youngest minister in Ecuador's history.
Born in the Galápagos Islands, Sade represents a new generation of leadership committed to sustainability, public innovation, and international climate action. As Minister, she led the creation of Ecuador's National Climate Change Mitigation Plan (PLANMICC), managed $224 million in international cooperation, and secured $62.9 million for drinking water and sanitation projects across the country. She represented Ecuador at COP28 in Dubai.
Currently, as a National Assembly Member and member of the Biodiversity Commission, she promotes initiatives focused on institutional strengthening, sustainability, and parliamentary diplomacy. She also serves as President of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group with the United Arab Emirates.
Sade holds a Bachelor's degree in International Tourism Management from Oxford Brookes University and a Master's degree in Project Management from the University of Southampton, where she graduated top of her class.
