Teresa Johnson

Teresa Johnson is a Partner at WilmerHale and Co-Chair of the firm's Sports and Gaming Practice, and a Terras Advisory Board member.
She has joined Terras Tuscany and Terras New York, and is a regular contributor to Terras member calls.

With over three decades in securities transactions, corporate governance, and capital markets, Teresa advises major professional sports organizations, including teams in the NFL and WNBA, as well as public and private companies, boards, senior executives, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. She is a recognized voice on ESG and corporate governance, writing for outlets including the Financial Times, and is one of the lead editors of Environmental, Social, Governance: The Professional's Guide to the Law and Practice of ESG, published by the American Bar Association.

Beyond her legal practice, Teresa has deep ties to the wine industry and advises wineries and businesses across the sector. She previously served as President of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Justice and Diversity Center, and is a leader in the Legal Alliance for Reproductive Rights. Teresa holds a JD from Stanford Law School, where she served on the Stanford Law Review, and an AB from Harvard University, cum laude. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, and England and Wales, and speaks French and Italian.
