Teresa Johnson

Teresa Johnson is a Partner at WilmerHale and co-chair of the firm's Sports and Gaming Practice, a Terras Tuscany and Terras New York attendee, and a member of the Terras Advisory Board.

With over three decades of experience in securities transactions, corporate governance, and capital markets, she advises major professional sports organisations, including teams in the NFL and WNBA, as well as public and private companies, boards, senior executives, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

Teresa is a recognised thought leader on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance, writing and speaking extensively on ESG and transactional matters including in the Financial Times. She is one of the lead editors of Environmental, Social, Governance: The Professional's Guide to the Law and Practice of ESG, published by the American Bar Association.

Beyond her legal practice, Teresa has deep ties to the wine industry, advising wineries, owners, and businesses throughout the sector. She previously served as President of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Justice and Diversity Center, and is a leader in the Legal Alliance for Reproductive Rights.

Teresa holds a JD from Stanford Law School, where she served on the Stanford Law Review, and an AB from Harvard University, cum laude. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, and England and Wales, and speaks French and Italian.
